Does remote interim management really work?

How often is the interim manager on site?

As often as the task requires, not by the calendar. On-site periods are agreed firmly at the start, typically for key meetings with the team, shareholders and banks. In his recent mandates Jens Schneiders spent around 50% of his time on site; we adjust the intensity to each phase of the mandate.

Work is done in the European time zone, aligned with the working day in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is often more economical: the mandate starts without waiting for on-site availability, and travel budget flows into working time instead of hotels.
